Econometrics for Policy Analysis training courses delivered at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State.

On November 7-9, 2017, a team of 4 trainers from the IFPRI Abuja Office facilitated two parallel training courses on “Econometrics for Policy Analysis using Stata” over three (3) days at the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT-Minna) which were attended by a total of 58 participants (41 males and 17 females) including faculty and the graduate student body from various departments within the University.

The trainings were designed to teach participants how to manage, analyze, and report findings from various types of economic data. Participants gained insights on how to handle data for evidence-based decision making. The training courses were well received and appreciated with participants expressing satisfaction for both course content and delivery.

These training courses were organized by the Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Policy Project with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and in line with Component 1 of FY 2018 work plan on activities to enhance skills, training, and institutional capacity.
