On August 1-3, a team of 4 Project trainers facilitated two parallel training courses on “Econometrics for Policy Analysis using Stata” at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka which were attended by a total of 45 participants (26 males and 19 females) including faculty and the graduate student body.
The trainings were designed to teach participants how to manage, analyze, and report findings from various types of economic data. Participants gained insights on how to handle data for evidence-based decision making. The training courses were well received and appreciated with participants expressing satisfaction for both course content and delivery.

These training courses were organized by the Feed the Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Policy Project, a joint effort between the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI)’s Nigeria Strategy Support Program (NSSP) and Michigan State University with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Nigeria), and it is in line with Component 1 of FY 2017 work plan on activities to enhance skills, training, and institutional capacity.
