Medinah Ayuba (IFPRI) delivering an M&E training course in Kebbi (c) 2018 IFPRI/Hyacinth Edeh On 4-6 June 2018, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) facilitated a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) training course for faculty and graduate students from various departments of the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero. The training course was attended by 26 participants (25 male and 1 female) who were taught the principles of M&E, and how to develop and implement an M&E plan and framework among other topics. As a result of this training, participants declared that they were now more competent to efficiently manage respective projects at the University. IFPRI’s Elisabeth Douglas making a presentation on policy communication concepts during the policy communications training for journalists in Cross River State (c) 2018 IFPRI/Bisola Oyediran Journalists, due to their role as information sharers, play a significant role in any country’s policy space. In recognition of this fact, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) organized a policy communications training for 23 journalists (21 male, 2 female) in Cross River State on 17 and 18 May 2018. The training was aimed at exposing journalists to concepts related to policy communications, as well as introducing them to tools and sources of information relevant to agricultural policy in Nigeria.
